In partnership with other organisations, HotHouse commissions, develops and produces significant new Australian plays.

We not only commission new plays, but also invest time and money in the development process to ensure that when a work reaches the stage, it is ready for production. This process has birthed plays such as Disarming Rosetta by Rosalba Clemente, The Berry Man by Patricia Cornelius, The Pyjama Girl by Emma Gibson, Packed by the Escapists, Quiet Faith by David Williams and 2015’s Between the Clouds by Julia-Rose Lewis.

In 2016 HotHouse will work with documentary theatre-maker Roslyn Oades to develop At the Hip, and with Sport for Jove on a new outdoor work.
