Did you know regularly taking part in a drama class improves your cognitive and psychological well-being, specifically word and listening recall, problem solving, self-esteem, and psychological well-being? And this is after only four weeks.
More and more studies reveal the links between arts and health for all age groups and find that there are health benefits for people who engage in an arts activity including drama classes.
If you live in the Albury Wodonga region the opportunity to improve your health – and have a great time – is here at the HotHouse Theatre adult drama class. Combining fun, frivolity and daring in a supportive environment, participants can expect to be challenged, laugh a lot, learn a lot, examine what it is that gets us intrigued and excited about acting and performance and to forge some close working relationships with others in the group.
And we’re thrilled that Adam Kronenberg is running the classes this term. Adam’s professional performance credits include main stage theatre performances for some of the most well-established production houses such as the Sydney Theatre Company and the Bell Shakespeare Company. He has performed in kids TV for the ABC, Channel 7 and the PBS network in the USA, and in Twentieth Century Fox super hero action films. Having performed on stages in every capital city in Australia except Darwin, and toured throughout Western Europe as part of the finest physical theatre and circus company of its time, Adam is well placed to deliver acting classes for beginners, enthusiasts and professional level performers.
Adam graduated with an honours degree and a double major in Acting and Theatre Techology form the University of Wollongong. He returned to Albury in 2009 when he was headhunted to be the Head of Training at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus where he taught acting and performance skills among his other duties to the young artists there as part of their learning and development.
Always aiming to deliver a profound experience for the performer and the audience, Adam has taught acting to students who may have wide-ranging levels of skills and experience. Apart from his 16 years of teaching for the
Australian Theatre for Young People – the flagship youth theatre company based in Sydney, Adam has taught at university level as well as conducting master classes for students at an advanced level of development and
progress in their careers.
Adam received the Marten Bequest Traveling Scholarship for Acting and travelled to Europe where he studied with Russian and French masters of their craft.
