BAKER MOTORS sponsors LYREBIRD – TALES OF HELPMANN
HotHouse Theatre’s Development Coordinator Mavis Ford was pleased this week to be able to thank the third show sponsor for the 2008 HotHouse Season, Simon Baker on behalf of Baker Motors. Baker Motors, a longtime and valued supporter of HotHouse Theatre, formed a partnership with HotHouse to sponsor LyreBird - Tales of Helpmann, a fascinating one-man show based on the life of famous Australian dancer, actor, director and choreographer Sir Robert Helpmann.
A State Theatre Company of South Australia production, LyreBird – Tales of Helpmann, written and performed by Tyler Coppin, was a stunning one man tour-de-force performance – a visually extravagant and outrageously comic portrayal of an extraordinary Australian and one of the world’s great characters. LyreBird – Tales of Helpmann was at the Hume Building Society Butter Factory Theatre Wodonga from September 9 -14, followed by a 4 week Victorian and NSW regional tour.
