Applications close 15 August for A Month in the Country

Likened to the famous Sundance Institute established in the USA by Robert Redford, our national residency program – A Month in the Country – is calling for applications from artists across Australia.  Come to the country and develop your new theatre project with us.

Funded through AlburyCity, The Myer Foundation and Perpetual and operated by HotHouse Theatre, A Month in the Country is a national arts resource to facilitate the creation of new Australian performing arts work. Groups of artists from around the country will be supported to live and work in a large farmhouse and adjacent studio just outside Albury for periods of one to five weeks. The use of the farmhouse is free and financial support for transport and living allowances is available.

As one of our recent resident artists says: ‘The house down the dirt road was perfect for creative endeavour with space to wander and dream, and dare ourselves to step into the darkness and navigate towards the light.’

What are you waiting for?
