The Last Great Hunt

It’s Dark Outside is an epic tale of adventure and redemption, ingeniously exploring a subject matter close to the hearts of families the world over – the state of dementia. The show has played to critical acclaim around Australia, as well as in Japan, Taiwan and the UK.

Created through a stunning blend of puppetry, mask, animation and live performance, It’s Dark Outside is the story of an elderly man chasing his dearest memories as they escape into the wild. As the sun sets, and the old man ventures into the great unknown, he is swept up in a surreal Western adventure, on the run: WANTED

As he moves farther away from the life he once knew, he must evade an ominous, shadowy figure – a mysterious cowboy tracker, hell-bent on hunting him down.

“A rare triumph of theatrical ingenuity and human compassion.”

The West Australian

“Beautiful, moving and captivating.”
